What is MSART?
MSART
consists of a group of healthcare professionals and individuals
who are directly involved in the practice of Assisted Reproductive
Technology (ART). Members of MSART account for more than two third
of all ART cycles done in Malaysia.
It is a non-profit organization and
was set up with the following objectives:
1. To improve public awareness on
infertility through public education
2. To assist in the training of health
care professionals in the appropriate management of infertility
3. To champion the basic reproductive
rights of all couples and individuals to decide freely and responsibly
the number, spacing and timing of their children.
4. To educate infertile couples in
all matters relating to their respective conditions
5. To promote research on the causes,
prevention, management and other aspects of infertility.
6. To co-operate with and guide government
and non-governmental bodies in matters related to Assisted Reproductive
Technologies (ART) including the formulation of guidelines and
regulations
7. To represent the country at international
meetings on infertility
